… riding the wave of sustainability.
There is a distinct before and after in my career when I commenced working with marine textiles. The journey of discovery and adapting my experiences to fabrics that are used for seafaring purposes has been a personal challenge.
Whilst working in a sail making factory, I observed large quantities of offcuts that were thrown away during the manufacturing. These leftover materials are a non-biodegradable waste that accumulates in the environment and ultimately resulting in useless landfill. My goal was to create a reusable product from this waste and to give it a new lease of life.
Hence was the starting point of Liza Soain Australia
Hence was the starting point of Liza Soain Australia, endeavouring to design and manufacture in Australia unique and enduring products from upcycled offcuts and recycled old sails. Each sail bag is handmade with expert craftsmanship using high quality industrial strength thread, resistant to water and UV, perfect for the Australian outdoors.
Our luxury bag range and sail cloth articles are a symbol of what can be achieved when cooperating with our local community and companies that share in our initiative and support our vision for a cleaner future.
